For several decades, there’s been much discussion among Star Trek enthusiasts as to who is the superior captain when it comes to leading a Federation starship. Fans still argue today over the likes of Patrick Stewart’s Picard, Avery Brooks’ Sisko, Kate Mulgrew’s Janeway, and more recently, Anson Mount’s Pike. However, many believe that William Shatner‘s James T. Kirk, who captained the original Enterprise, remains the best. In a recent social media post, this original Starfleet captain surprised many by revealing his extensive knowledge of the Sailor Moon series.
Star Trek made its debut in 1966, showcasing the crew of the USS Enterprise to science fiction enthusiasts. Captain Kirk, played by William Shatner, commanded the ship, while characters like Spock (Leonard Nimoy), Bones (DeForest Kelley), Uhura (Nichelle Nichols), and Sulu (George Takei) assisted in exploring uncharted galaxies and meeting previously unknown alien species. The original series spanned just three seasons, but it has since inspired numerous movies and spin-offs, many of which are still being produced by Paramount today. Although Shatner no longer steers the ship in modern Trek projects, he reprised his role last year in a heartwarming reunion with the late Leonard Nimoy.

Cities like Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington, Oregon, Missouri, Ohio, Kentucky, Connecticut, and New York are among the many locations that will be visited on its nationwide tour.
