2025 brings fresh gaming exhibitions, and Sony’s PlayStation State of Play in February 2025 promises some exciting new game reveals. Although these shows primarily focus on PlayStation 5 games, they often showcase multiplatform titles as well, making them a must-watch for Xbox and Windows PC gamers. Moreover, an increasing number of first-party games from PlayStation Studios are now releasing directly on PC.
Where to watch the PlayStation State of Play
On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time or 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time, Sony aired its initial State of Play for the year. This event lasted over 40 minutes and showcased several games. Borderlands 4 has a September release date
On September 23, 2025, Gearbox Studio will unveil a sneak peek of Borderlands 4, the upcoming looter-shooter game. Upon its release, players can enjoy this title on Xbox Series X|S, personal computers running Windows OS, and PlayStation 5.
Split Fiction gets a story trailer
On March 6, 2025, Hazelight Games is unveiling a fresh narrative trailer for their upcoming cooperative-centric game titled Split Fiction. This title will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.
Directive 8020 brings space terror this fall
The next game in Supermassive Games’ Dark Pictures Anthology series is titled Directive 8020, a science-fiction title set on a space station where mysterious forces are causing inhabitants to disappear. Players will have the chance to dive into the horror when it is released on October 2, 2025 for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is coming in 2026
At the Game Awards 2024, Capcom unveiled a fresh Onimusha installment, titled “Onimusha: Path of the Sword.” Set for release in 2026, this game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5. During the State of Play event, we were treated to a new trailer that highlights enhanced combat features.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater leak confirmed with an August release date
It’s been recently revealed that the release of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been set for August 28, 2025. You’ll be able to play it on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and PlayStation 5 platforms.
