Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have revealed during Sony’s latest State of Play event that a demonstration for the upcoming “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” is scheduled for release on PS5. This demo will be accessible from 7:00am PT on February 13.
During the demonstration, players will get a chance to test-drive two distinct fighting techniques of protagonist Goro Majima, which include the innovative Sea Dog style. Additionally, they’ll have an opportunity to engage in naval combat, a key feature of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, upon its release.
In a brief span following the unveiling of a narrative trailer centered around the Pirate King of Madlantis, Raymond Law, it’s been announced that this upcoming demo. Notably, the game’s role as the Pirate King is portrayed by none other than renowned professional wrestler, Samoa Joe.
In “Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii”, the bustling city of Honolulu from the game “Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth” will be available for exploration, but not all content from the main game will carry over. Compared to “Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name”, “Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii” is expected to be about 30% longer.
The demonstration is set to occur shortly before the computer, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game are officially launched on February 21st.
