After turning her life upside down, Millie Bobby Brown is livin’ on a farm with the man she loves.
Prior to concluding her work on Netflix’s “Stranger Things” following five seasons, she started posting videos showcasing her countryside lifestyle with husband Jake Bongiovi. However, even though Millie, aged 20, and the 22-year-old son of Jon Bon Jovi reside on a farm in Georgia, it’s not accurate to label this actress as a “traditional housewife.
Millie shared in an interview with Vanity Fair, published on February 12th, 2025, “I don’t do it for the looks; I do it because I genuinely enjoy it. There might be some traditional wives who find it appealing, but let me tell you, it’s not as idyllic as it seems. If you’re not handling farm chores like cleaning up horse manure or washing cows with your own hands, then that lifestyle isn’t meant for you.
Beyond my passion for horses, I, a devoted fan, share Millie and Jake’s farm with a multitude of other creatures. Among them are cows, sheep, goats, even more cows, and donkeys. And let me tell you, the dogs on this farm, some of whom were rescued by the amazing actress from local shelters, have a special place in my heart, much like Millie has a special place in mine for her role as Enola Holmes!
Millie, who founded Joey’s Friends animal rescue organization in 2022, remarked, “It seems you believe animals are tranquil.” She went on to compare this belief with perceptions of the South and their current location as peaceful places, but added, “Despite these impressions, there’s a great deal of turmoil here.
She added, ‘My home is full of noise from the animals, it can get messy, and my dogs are quite energetic. Yet, it’s filled with laughter, passion, and excitement, making it a lively environment. Despite the chaos, it’s exactly where I flourish.’
Last year, Millie attended not one but two wedding ceremonies, and she recently disclosed some details about her social activities. These involve getting together with her “Stranger Things” co-star Noah Schnapp in New York, accompanied by her spouse.
As a lifestyle enthusiast residing in the tranquil countryside, I, Millie, manage to maintain close connections with my bustling Hollywood friends – an accomplishment achieved even after tying the knot with Jake in two beautiful ceremonies last year. Recently, I had the pleasure of reuniting with my “Stranger Things” costar Noah Schnapp in the vibrant city of New York, accompanied by none other than my dear husband.
Millie, who was born in Spain to parents from the UK but spent part of her childhood in both the UK and the US, started acting at around nine years old with her first screen appearance as young Alice in the show ‘Once Upon a Time in Wonderland’, which was inspired by Disney. Interestingly, she also took on her breakout role as Eleven on ‘Stranger Things’ when she was 11 years old.
“I never wanted to be famous,” she said. “That was never my thing. I just love acting.”
