For novice fans, FromSoftware is predominantly recognized for Elden Ring and Bloodborne. However, it’s essential to know that this Japanese developer has a rich history on PlayStation, and come later this year, you can delve into some of its beginnings with PS Plus Premium.
During the broadcast of their State of Play event, Sony revealed that three installments of the Armored Core series will be launched in 2025: Armored Core, Armored Core: Project Phantasma, and Armored Core: Master of Arena.
Back in the day, I was absolutely captivated by the trio of titles initially launched on the PlayStation 1, with Sony themselves being the publishers for the first one. Just like the newest installment, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, these were all about intense mech combat – and boy, were they tough!
Sony did not provide further details: it’s unclear when these classic games will be released or if they’ll include Trophy support. However, they are set to appear on both PS5 and PS4 at some stage during this year. These titles will also be part of the PS Plus Premium collection.
