On Thursday, 13th February 2025, at 5:30am: Sometimes it’s wise to treat rumors with a touch of skepticism. Contrary to some speculations, Gummy Bears – a project from Bungie that was moved under the PS Studios umbrella – was not revealed during State of Play.
It’s been speculated that Sony might unveil the title for its PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch versions soon, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
It’s possible for something to not be publicly declared yet, but that doesn’t necessarily imply it doesn’t exist. We have confidence that it will make an appearance once the right time comes along.
With just 12 hours left until the next State of Play livestream, there’s plenty of buzz about what Sony might unveil during their digital presentation. Titles like Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Lost Soul Aside, and Hell Is Us appear to be confirmed, but a new rumor circulates that Bungie could announce another game.
Essentially, the task at hand was transferred by Bungie to a fresh internal team within PlayStation Studios, colloquially referred to as Gummy Bears. As per Vandal, a leaker from Spain, this upcoming project – rumored to be a MOBA reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. – is set to be officially unveiled during tonight’s State of Play broadcast. There are whispers that it will be available on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch as well.
In other news, Sony’s second game to make its way onto the Nintendo Switch (the first being LEGO Horizon Adventures) is expected to be announced during an upcoming Nintendo Direct. This event is distinct from the previously confirmed reveal of the Switch 2, scheduled for April 2nd, 2025.
As a passionate gamer, I’ve been buzzing with excitement over some recent whispers about an upcoming Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) game that goes by the name of Gummy Bears. Rumor has it, this newcomer shares similarities with heavyweights like DOTA 2 and League of Legends, but with a unique twist – Attack, Defense, and Support classes are the norm here, and there’s even talk about towers that can be moved!
It seems the creators have their sights set on a younger generation of gamers, as they’re planning to incorporate a damage system that operates on a percentage basis. The more damage you take in relation to your current health, the further back you’ll get knocked! This mechanic sounds awfully familiar; it’s reminiscent of how Super Smash Bros. handles its battles. Needless to say, I can hardly wait to sink my teeth into this sweet new game!
