My Hero Academia: Vigilantes Hypes New Characters in Latest Promo: Watch

The eighth and final season of “My Hero Academia” anime series is coming soon this year, but that’s not all for UA Academy fans! Starting in April, Kohei Horikoshi’s superhero shonen universe will also be growing on the small screen with the debut of its first spin-off, “My Hero Academia: Vigilantes.” Unlike the main series, this spin-off won’t revolve around any students from the hero school. Instead, it delves into the lives of heroes who operate outside the law. Studio Bones has revealed three trailers featuring the stars of the spin-off, who could potentially become famous in the anime world.

Initially, in the series Vigilantes, our protagonist goes by the name Crawler, a youthful vigilante. Despite not possessing supernatural powers like All For One and One For All, Koichi Haimawari makes optimal use of his unique abilities, known as “Slide and Glide,” which grants him remarkable adaptability in combat situations. Pop Step, one of Crawler’s most powerful companions, boasts an equally peculiar skill set: she can jump to extraordinary heights without suffering any harm upon landing. Lastly, Knuckleduster, the team’s strongest member, harbors a secret regarding his abilities that we’ll keep under wraps for now; however, he undeniably stands out as the formidable figure in this spin-off, comparable to Batman.

Pop Step, Crawler, and Knuckle Duster Assemble

Studio Bones has unveiled three fresh trailers showcasing the “Vigilantes” and their additional missions. Set prior to the final episode of the main series, these trailers offer a glimpse of veteran heroes who are at the top of their game once more. Characters such as All Might, Eraserhead, Present Mic, Midnight, and others will be showcased. If the series extends beyond its first season, we could possibly witness some thrilling flashbacks that delve into significant events from UA Academy’s history.

The Difference of Vigilantes

In a thrilling twist, I’ve discovered that while the captivating tale of “Vigilantes” is set in the same universe as My Hero Academia, it was actually masterminded by none other than Hideyuki Furuhashi (the writer) and Betten Court (the artist). This spin-off has been unfolding its chapters for quite some time before concluding its series. Given the number of episodes “Vigilantes” produced, there’s a chance it could carry on beyond the main anime’s climactic finale, but that remains to be seen based on how well Crawler, Knuckle Duster, and Pop Step are received by fans.

In terms of tales set after the main ending of My Hero Academia, Kohei Horikoshi has given no signs of Deku and their companions returning. Yet, Studio Bones has not verified if there will be additional films within the shonen series’ scope, so we may encounter fresh stories within the Hero Society.
