In Avowed, I stumbled upon a captivating side quest titled “One Last Drink.” This mission takes me across the rugged landscapes of Shatterscarp, with three distinct markers guiding my path, but they’re not always straightforward to reach. Navigating through this desolate terrain requires vigilance and quick thinking.
What made this quest even more intriguing was the differing attitudes towards the reunion from various characters I encountered along the way. It wasn’t just a simple fetch-and-deliver mission; it was a journey that tested my wits, patience, and empathy.
As a dedicated adventurer in the world of Avowed, navigating Shatterscarp proves to be quite the challenge due to its labyrinthine valleys and towering cliffs that can unexpectedly obstruct your path. Yet, persistence pays off – with the discovery of hidden tunnels and caves, coupled with a readiness to tread the longer routes when necessary, you’ll find a way to conquer this rugged landscape and emerge victorious!
How To Find Ruanga
Ruanga is quite elusive, but she can be found at the Abandoned Mine, which isn’t immediately noticeable due to its hidden entrance. To locate the mine’s entrance, search for a hole in the cave wall that lies to the left of the nearby campsite. On the map, this hole is positioned between 9 o’clock and 8 o’clock from where the map marker is. You’ll recognize the spot when you come across a cliff with wooden planks propped against it.
This version maintains the essential information but uses more natural, easy-to-read language to convey the same instructions.
To your right, beyond these panels, there’s a tiny opening in the wall that accesses the mine. Inside, you’ll encounter beetles that you must defeat. Although Ruanga’s exact location isn’t clear yet, you’re getting closer.
To reach the concealed cave where Ruanga resides, you need to ascend the wooden stages at the rear of the arena. Once you’ve climbed up and turned around, you’ll notice a breakable wall in the cavern. Pass through it, then scale the ledges; one is behind you as you leap. From this vantage point, exit onto the cliff edge and enter the opening where Ruanga awaits. When you converse with her, Ruanga will decline to accompany you, regardless of whether she was recruited first or last. This interaction will mark the quest as complete.
How To Find Kowha
Kowha is more accessible than Ruanga, yet it retains a certain level of conflict. Upon reaching the Shark’s Teeth outpost in the northeastern part of the map, you can locate Kowha close to the tower at the extreme north of the settlement. If you’ve finished the main quest named “Face Your Fears”, this area should be accessible by now. Additionally, it’s advisable to chat with Moapo in Shark’s Teeth, as he will assign you the “Don’t Look Down” quest, which is situated right beside Kowha.
Irrespective of whether you finish Don’t Look Down beforehand or not, proceed towards the tower and then venture into a tiny wooden-fenced arena with explosive barrels scattered around. Here, you’ll have to eliminate beetles, spirits, and specters. Once you’ve cleared out all these creatures, make your way to the path situated at the back of the arena, ascend the stairs, and you’ll encounter Kowha.
Upon encountering him, he’ll instruct you to eliminate the Dreamscourged positioned beneath you. Take care to either jump down and eradicate them all, as some of them may rush at you, so be mindful of your distance or defensive abilities. Once they’ve been neutralized, converse with Kowha, and if you inform him that Tauwe has (indicated the presence of Tauwe), he will consent to accompany you.
How To Find Tauwe
In the game One Last Drink, Tauwe is the most accessible character, yet he’s located quite far away. After navigating towards the South Sea Oasis in the south-eastern part of the map, you will spot him in an open area beyond a small lake. Interacting with him isn’t complicated, as he’s quite approachable, so a brief chat is all that’s required.
In your upcoming adventure, you’ll find yourself very close to the quest involving Xaurip Chief Grithin and Bounty. Since Tauwe’s location doesn’t involve any combat, it might be convenient for you to complete both quests during the same journey.
Yet, before departing, there’s something important I must share. Swimming to the left of Tauwe (with your back towards him) in the lake will lead you to a precious gem known as the Sapphire Eye. This artifact is crucial for completing the Totem of Revelations quest.
