Elden Ring Nightreign May Get an Extra Playtest Due to Server Issues

This week saw the initial network test for Elden Ring’s spin-off, Nightreign. As anticipated, this was the public’s first opportunity to experience Nightreign, but unfortunately, things didn’t run smoothly as intended. The launch of Nightreign was marred by connection issues, server troubles, and various other obstacles that hindered players from entering sessions to explore Limveld. In response to these problems, FromSoftware has expressed their apologies on social media. Noteworthy, there’s a possibility that another network test for Nightreign could be scheduled.

The initial test for Elden Ring Nightreign occurred during the early hours of the morning, specifically from 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. Pacific Time. This time slot was indicated in the schedule that FromSoftware and Bandai Namco previously released. If you’d like to know more about how this test unfolded, a quick glance at social media and the Elden Ring subreddit should provide plenty of insight, as many players found simply gaining access to the game the most formidable hurdle.

Following the conclusion of the session, the Elden Ring account from FromSoftware posted about the connectivity issues and expressed their apologies. No further problems are expected for several hours yet, during which time they’ll work on enhancing the experience. However, if all goes well, another session might be arranged by FromSoftware afterwards.

The first round of the Elden Ring: Night Reign Network Test has come to a close, and we’re sorry for any trouble caused by server issues. We’re now working hard to enhance the test’s stability, and another Network Test session might be planned.

As a dedicated fan, I’m excited to share that there’s another session scheduled for Valentine’s Day, February 14th. The following test is slated for the evening between 7-10 p.m. Pacific Time. If we’re lucky, it seems like the next sessions, which begin on February 15th and continue on February 16th, might give us an additional one on Saturday as that’s when the largest gap in our schedule appears to be!

During our trial run of Elden Ring Nightreign prior to its release, we encountered some network and connection glitches too. However, these issues didn’t significantly diminish the enjoyment once the actual gameplay began. The game is set to launch on May 30th, so there might be more opportunities for testing before then.
