Following your departure from Trosky, you’ll find yourself in the bustling city of Kuttenberg. Here, not only will you advance the main plot, but you’ll also have the opportunity to take on numerous side quests within this region. One such quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is called “Warding Off Evil.” In this mission, your objective is to secretly acquire three items from civilian dwellings and utilize them to craft a talisman for protection. Although the mission isn’t lengthy, it requires stealth as you must sneak inside to secure these valuable items.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Warding off Evil Quest Guide
As you traverse Kuttenberg, you might stumble upon Johann Parler at The Emperor Charles Tavern. He’s busy working on Saint Barbara Church and desires to create a talisman to shield it. To do so, he needs three protective artifacts that are in the possession of local burghers. Here’s how you can get all three items in “Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2” during the quest called ‘Warding off Evil’:
Nail
The initial talisman is a nail situated high above in a house’s roof beam. Retrieving it isn’t overly challenging, but you should exercise caution since there are numerous individuals nearby. I advise visiting this location during the nighttime , when there are fewer people around. Upon arriving at your destination, navigate through the narrow passageway and then ascend the stairs to your left. Enter the room, followed by a climb up the ladder on your right. The nail for the quest of Warding Off Evil can be found on the table in that room.
Coin
The second charm is a coin hidden within the Hangman’s Halter Tavern. Unlike the first one, this one is more accessible as it doesn’t require any sneaking. Upon entering the establishment, look for a door to the left of the staircase. Proceed down the stairs and take a right turn. You’ll come across a wall that you can interact with. After removing some loose bricks, you can collect the coin needed for the Warding Off Evil quest.
Horseshoe
To acquire the third talisman, you must exercise caution as there’s a guard patrolling, even during the night. After entering the alley, locate and open the first door on your left using a lockpick – luckily, the lock difficulty is low, so players with less developed Thievery skills can manage it. Inside, look to your left where you’ll find a horseshoe hanging on the door frame.
After obtaining all three charms, locate a blacksmith to create the axe. Successfully finishing the “Driving Away Evil” mission will earn you 150 Groschens as a reward.
