In contemporary fighting games, it’s almost a given to see crossovers between franchises. Many modern fighting games have integrated characters from other series, not just video games. For instance, Tekken 8 is including Clive Rosfield from Final Fantasy 16, Mortal Kombat 1 recently added Conan the Barbarian, and Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is set to appear in Guilty Gear -Strive-. One of the most recent crossovers was Fatal Fury’s Terry Bogard and Mai becoming playable characters in Street Fighter 6. With Fatal Fury: City of Wolves approaching, SNK has announced their Season Pass 1 roster, which will feature two beloved Street Fighter characters joining the upcoming game.
In summer 2025 and up until early 2026, SNK’s game Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves intends to introduce five new characters as part of Season Pass 1. Notably, two of these newcomers are popular fighters hailing from the lengthy Street Fighter series, with one character having starred in the very first installment. This summer, fans can look forward to Ken joining the game, followed by Chun-Li’s addition later in winter. Details regarding exact release dates for each character are yet to be disclosed, but should be revealed closer to their respective launches.
For “Fatal Fury: City of Wolves” Season Pass 1, you’ll encounter three new characters hailing from the Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and King of Fighters series. If you’re a fan of any or all these series, you’ll likely recognize at least one of these three fighters. This Summer, Andy Bogard makes his appearance in the game. In the Autumn, Joe Higashi reappears in a Fatal Fury title. Lastly, Mr. Big concludes the Season Pass in early 2026. Regrettably, no footage has been released yet showcasing these five DLC characters in action.
SNK has made it clear that they don’t intend to offer the base game and Season Pass 1 separately for sale. At this point, the only option available for pre-purchase is the Special Edition of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. For $59.99, you’ll receive both the base game and Season Pass 1 as a package deal. Moreover, those who choose to pre-order will enjoy early access to the game for three days, and they’ll also get the Terry Bogard DLC costume from Fatal Fury 2 as a bonus.
The popular Fatal Fury series from SNK debuted in 1991 and sparked the fighting game craze throughout the ’90s. Since then, Garou: Mark of the Wolves (released in 1999) has been the latest addition to the franchise. However, this is set to change as a fresh new entry—Fatal Fury: Den of the Wolves—is on its way after a 26-year gap!
