Leaked Captain America Cameo Reveals Surprise Marvel Crossover

In a continuation of sorts to the 2008 film “The Incredible Hulk”, the movie “Captain America: Brave New World” revisits characters from that era. The second Marvel Cinematic Universe film introduced General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt), his daughter Betty Ross (Liv Tyler), and Dr. Samuel Sterns (Tim Blake Nelson), a cellular biologist who became the intelligent villain, The Leader, after being exposed to gamma-irradiated blood. Fast forward 17 years and 33 movies later, former Secretary of State Ross (Harrison Ford) takes office as president, Betty has grown apart from her Hulk-pursuing father, and Dr. Sterns orchestrates a Manchurian Candidate-style plot that ultimately leads to Ross’ transformation into the Red Hulk on a global scale.

Another character connected to Hulk, as per an online plot summary leaked months ago, didn’t make it into the final cut of the movie. A viewer who attended a preliminary screening accurately described the film’s storyline in a now-deleted Reddit post from last October, revealing a hidden appearance by — spoiler alert > Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). However, there’s a scene mentioned in the summary that isn’t present in the recently released movie.

Based on leaked information, it’s said that Captain America (Anthony Mackie), Falcon (Danny Ramirez), and Ruth Bat-Seraph (Shira Haas) went to Stark Industries. They were following Sterns after a run-in with the controlling villain at Camp Echo One. In their search, they sought help from Amadeus Cho, one of Stark’s tech engineers. A deleted scene hinted at Tony Stark’s widow, Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who is currently CEO of Stark Industries.

In addition to “The Incredible Hulk” and “Eternals”, it’s worth noting that “Brave New World” shares connections with another Marvel Cinematic Universe film, specifically “Avengers: Age of Ultron” from 2015. This connection is through Helen Cho (portrayed by Claudia Kim), whose Regeneration Cradle was utilized in the creation of the body for Vision (Paul Bettany) within that movie.

In the world of comics, Amadeus Cho is introduced as the teenage son of Helen. He’s a prodigious genius, ranked as the seventh smartest individual on Earth, who forms an alliance with the Hulk. First appearing in issue #15 of the 2005 volume of Amazing Fantasy, this character was created by comic writer Greg Pak and artist Takeshi Miyazawa for the Incredible Hulk series.

Later on, it was uncovered that the Illuminati – Tony Stark (Iron Man), Reed Richards (Mister Fantastic), Doctor Strange, and Black Bolt of the Inhumans – had banished Hulk from Earth. This action initiated the tales known as Planet Hulk and World War Hulk, during which Hulk, now known as the World Breaker, emerged from the violent planet Sakaar to wage war against those feeble humans who had launched him into space.

In Marvel’s All-New, All Different period, Cho took on the role of the intellectually gifted and physically powerful Totally Awesome Hulk after he was exposed to gamma radiation that Bruce Banner had previously possessed, making him a unique blend of brains and brawn alongside his stint as the Hulk’s partner and Hercules’ sidekick.

After taking up the role as CEO of the Olympus Group, which is overseen by the Olympian gods, Cho has also been part of the Champions and Jimmy Woo’s Agents of Atlas, embodying a character resembling the Hulk named Brawn. A depiction of Cho can be found in Marvel’s animated series “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man”, where he works as an intern at Oscorp alongside Peter Parker.

The action-packed Marvel Studios film, titled “Captain America: New World Order,” featuring Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Carl Lumbly, Xosha Roquemore, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford, is currently playing in cinemas.
