Marathon Could Receive More Details in April – Rumor

Alongside the absence of Haven Studios’ Fairgame$, Bungie’s shooter game Marathon was also conspicuously absent during Sony’s recent State of Play. They did mention that playtests will be conducted more this year, and they even unveiled character art for two Runners – codenames Thief and Stealth – but fans are eagerly waiting for further updates on when more information will be revealed.

As per Jeff Grubb’s statement during the recent Game Mess Decides episode, it appears that April could be the month for a possible reveal, as Marathon might be planning their own event instead of being part of State of Play, according to his explanation about them doing their own thing.

Bungie typically handles their own affairs when it comes to Destiny, and they’re planning to stick with that approach this year too. So, we might expect an update from them about Marathon in April. However, the specifics of their plans and exactly what details will be shared are still uncertain.

If Bungie intends to unveil new content for Destiny 2 ahead of the anticipated PlayStation Showcase, while still keeping something for the upcoming reveal of Project Apollo (scheduled for summer), then April could be an ideal month.
