New details have been shared about the circumstances surrounding Kim Sae-ron‘s death.
On February 17th, it was reported by Yonhap News Agency, quoting South Korean authorities, that the actress known as Bloodhounds tragically took her own life at the age of 24, after being discovered dead in her Seoul residence.
The police reportedly stated that they suspect she chose an extremely drastic action, and are preparing to treat it as a possible suicide case.
On February 16, approximately at 5 p.m., a friend discovered the Netflix celebrity. This friend had arranged to meet her. At that moment, no indications of wrongdoing were found by authorities. However, they are currently examining the details surrounding the deceased’s death.
At the tender age of 8, Kim made her acting debut in the film “A Brand New Life”. She then secured roles in “The Man From Nowhere”, “A Girl at My Door”, and “The Villagers”. Most recently, she appeared in “Bloodhounds”, a South Korean series that premiered on Netflix in 2023.
Approximately a year ago, in May 2022, she decided to leave acting following an incident where she was found driving under the influence and collided with a guardrail and a transformer, leading to a brief power outage in southern Seoul. She was subsequently penalized 20 million won (around $13,850).
In her Instagram post, the actress admitted that she was responsible for an accident that occurred in Gangnam around 8 AM on May 18th. During this incident, she unintentionally damaged public property while under the influence of alcohol. She acknowledged that she should have exercised greater caution and responsibility, but unfortunately did not. She extends her sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused.
“I am disappointed and ashamed of my mistake,” she continued. “I will deeply reflect and reflect again so that something like this will never happen again. I am sorry.”
