On Monday, February 17, 2025, Emmerdale broadcasted an emotionally intense sequence of events following the tragic double limousine collision.
As Liam Cavanagh (played by Jonny McPherson) moved from the guys’ car to join his partner Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) in the women’s limo, he dropped to one knee and proposed, but right at that moment, chaos erupted.
In the road, Noah (Jack Downham) stumbled unawares, but Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) skillfully steered clear of him. Meanwhile, another driver, Caleb Miligan (William Ash), had to brake suddenly when a truck appeared out of nowhere, which caused him to puncture one of his tires.
In a dramatic turn of events, Caleb found himself engaged in a physical altercation with his half-brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) due to Caleb’s jealousy over Cain’s relationship with Caleb’s wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly). Meanwhile, the women and Liam faced a harrowing situation when they became stranded on an icy lake.
Sadly, Suzy Merton’s character, portrayed by Martelle Edinborough, met a tragic end due to the accident, causing great distress for her partner, Vanessa Woodfield, played by Michelle Hardwick.
As Charity liberated herself and stumbled upon an unresponsive Noah, it was observed that Liam, Chas, Vanessa, and Tracy Robinson (played by Amy Walsh) successfully navigated their way over the icy expanse to reach safety.
But in the limo, Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) discovered she was bleeding severely.
Instead of warning everyone, Leyla chose to persuade Amy Barton (Natalie Ann Jamieson) to leave first, while Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) remained in place.
When Liam tumbled down, Amy unwittingly plunged into the water. Later, with her trapped beneath the frozen surface, she discerned the limb of a deceased individual!

As Liam went down, Amy found herself in the water unknowingly. Trapped under the ice later on, she noticed a corpse’s hand!
