MachineGames, together with Bethesda and Xbox, has seen great success with “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle“, a game that garnered extensive critical praise and boasts over 4 million players. While they’re currently developing “The Order of Giants”, the post-launch expansion for this action-adventure title, what other projects might MachineGames be planning?
Approximately two months have passed since the release of “The Great Circle”, and information about its aftermath is limited, but it appears that the studio is moving forward with their next endeavor. This is according to Nicole Åkerlid, an associate HR generalist at MachineGames, who hinted at some exciting projects in the pipeline on LinkedIn, encouraging potential job applicants.
Following the launch of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle in December, we’re busy developing some really exciting projects. We’d love for even more people to be part of our upcoming journey with us.
Based on the significant success of “The Great Circle”, it’s reasonable to expect that MachineGames will proceed directly to another “Indiana Jones” game. In fact, rumors suggest that additional “Indy” games are being developed. Lucasfilm Games has also expressed intrigue about the possibility of sequels for “The Great Circle”.
The game, titled “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” can be played on Xbox Series X/S and personal computers as of now. However, it will also become accessible on PlayStation 5 this coming spring season.
