Although we haven’t been enthusiastic about competitive card games such as Magic: The Gathering in the past, this could shift with its upcoming collaboration with Final Fantasy. A total of four decks, beautifully designed with artwork from Final Fantasy’s VI, VII, X, and XIV, have been unveiled, and we find ourselves yearning for them just as intensely as Yuffie longs for materia.
In simple terms, IGN was given the first peek at another video game crossover series, and it looks promising. It’s said that each pack containing 100 cards will be a complete set for drafting, compatible with the standard game rules. These sets will consist of both redesigned cards featuring Final Fantasy artwork as well as new cards specifically designed to work within the widely-loved Commander format.
