Backstreet Boys will never play games with fans’ hearts.
Therefore, AJ McLean stated that it’s unlikely they, including Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, and Howie Dorough, will embark on a tour together with *NSYNC in the near future.
In a recent interview with TopMob News, AJ commented on *NSYNC’s touring history, stating that it has been over 22 years since they last toured. He added, “But we’ll continue to carry on with our own activities.
However, the 47-year-old noted, “No one knows what the future holds.”
He commented, “Let’s wait and find out what transpires.” (Stay tuned to E News tonight, February 18th, at 11 p.m., for more with the band.)
Currently, BSB (Backstreet Boys) are concentrating on their forthcoming residency at Sphere Las Vegas, where they plan to perform their whole 1999 album “Millennium” live on stage.
Nick expressed his gratitude, saying, “It’s an honor for us,” to TopMob News. “We’re the first pop band to take the stage at such a remarkable venue.
Alongside popular tunes like “I Want It That Way” and “Larger Than Life,” audiences should also anticipate lesser-known but equally captivating tracks, such as their latest release “Hey,” as shared by AJ.
However, there’s one tune they won’t be playing: “If You Want It to Be Good Girl (Get Yourself a Bad Boy)”. Brian confessed his dislike for the 1997 hit, with AJ adding humorously, “We really don’t care for that song!
As a connoisseur of all things lifestyle-related, let me share an interesting tidbit about the Backstreet Boys. Contrary to popular belief, they collectively find their hit song “Backstreet’s Back” less than delightful. However, in the spirit of pleasing their fans, AJ once graced the stage with a performance of this iconic track.
With the Backstreet Boys returning to the Vegas Strip, there’s a possibility that ‘NSYNC – who performed together on the song “Better Place” last year – might be considering a similar residency as well, but it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Joey Fatone expressed to TopMob News in June that the group consisting of himself, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Lance Bass should meet up for a discussion. He was hinting at a potential reunion tour and questioning if they would be releasing new music if they decided to go ahead with the tour.
Despite collaborating with AJ from the Backstreet Boys during the Legendary Nights Tour recently, Joey hinted that organizing a full *NSYNC tour might require even more collaboration.
“We’re married, we have kids,” he noted. “It takes a different perspective.”
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but echo the excitement Lance expressed when he mused about the prospect of *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys embarking on a tour together. It’s a tantalizing thought that sends a thrill down my spine!
2023, I’d tell fellow enthusiasts not to hold onto excessive optimism about it. Convincing some of us might be quite a challenge if we’re ever considering such a thing.

And to see what your favorite boy bands and girl groups are up to these days, keep reading…
The Backstreet Boys, who first made their mark in 1996 with their debut album, have been a constant presence since then, keeping the spirit of the new millennium alive with their 1999 record “Millennium”. Lucky for us, members Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell, and Kevin Richardson continue to entertain us by performing our beloved tunes even after more than two decades.
Cheers to the girl band that brought us Beyoncé! No need to “Shake Your Head” when it comes to Destiny’s Child, because Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams continue to be icons in their own right even today.
The well-known boy band, ‘NSYNC, was formed by members Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, JC Chasez, and Chris Kirkpatrick. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for another performance from the group, and we assure you, it won’t be a puppet show – we’re not quite ready to sing “Bye Bye Bye” just yet!
To win their affection, you’ve got to connect with their circle, and it’s quite a large one! The Spice Girls made waves in the U.K. during the ’90s with their trendy style and memorable tunes. The fabulous five – Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, and Emma Bunton – were the epitome of every girl’s dream British pop group.
Back in the day, Hanson made a splash alongside other popular ’90s boy bands with their hit tune “MMMBop.” The trio of brothers – Isaac, Taylor, and Zac – put out an album together in 2013 before branching off for individual careers. Taylor even found time to manage a brood of seven! Fortunately, the band reunited in 2018 with the release of the album “String Theory” and they’ve been touring up until 2022.
Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas continue to form the ’90s rap group TLC, even after the untimely death of original member Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in 2002. Lil Mama performed with TLC in 2013, preceding the announcement of their new album in 2017.
From 2017 onwards, the South Korean boy band BTS has been responsible for composing, producing, and performing many of their hits while ascending to global stardom. The dedicated fan base of this K-pop group, affectionately known as the “Army”, is renowned for its unwavering passion, a testament to their place in music history.
Absolutely, you’re right! Nick Lachey was part of a boy band known as 98 Degrees, and just reminiscing about it sends temperatures soaring beyond what the group’s name suggests. Accompanied by his brother Drew Lachey and Justin Jeffre, music producers Nick Lachey and Jeff Timmons formed this group after deciding to leave college and pursue their musical aspirations in the 90s.
In the latter part of the 1980s, the music group known as “New Kids On The Block” gained immense popularity. Then, in 2011, they reunited to embark on a nostalgic tour alongside their contemporaries, “The Backstreet Boys”.
Originally, the New Kids on the Block consisted of brothers Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, and Danny Wood. After disbanding in 1994, they eventually reunited and later joined forces with the Backstreet Boys for a tour in 2011, an event that sent waves across the internet. Unsurprisingly, this collaboration made quite an impact and they continue to perform together today.
Oh, how delightful! The Jonas Brothers are back in action again! With Nick Jonas’ charming grin, Joe Jonas’ confident strut and Kevin Jonas’ big brother appeal, they certainly know how to steal our hearts. Not only that, but these stars can also serenade us with their beautiful voices and play instruments like pros. We’re still reeling from their comeback since their band first emerged on the scene back in 2006.
One Direction, one of the most exceptional bands to emerge from a singing competition show, dominated the global music scene throughout the 2010s. Remarkably, this boy band spawned numerous successful solo careers, with members such as Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Harry Styles leaving indelible marks on music (and fashion and film) history.
A group that originated from “The X Factor” is known for their pop royalty status and songs focusing on body positivity, feminism, navigating the challenges of social media, and balancing these experiences as young mothers.
Lisa, Rosé, Jennie, and Jisoo form the K-pop group BLACKPINK, who debuted their first album, titled “THE ALBUM,” in October 2020. On Jimmy Kimmel Live, Rosé shared that they chose ‘BLACKPINK’ because it symbolizes two aspects of their identity: a girly side and a fierce, savage side. They also have a song called ‘Pretty Savage,’ which fits well with the meaning behind ‘black pink.’
Prior to adopting the “Work From Home” lifestyle as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, Fifth Harmony provided fans with an optimistic (and sensual) theme song to help alleviate any issues they might have encountered while working remotely. Following the girl group’s hiatus in 2018, breakout singer Camila Cabello went on to achieve success in her solo career, including portraying Cinderella, and other members also embarked on individual projects.
5 Seconds of Summer, a rock band hailing from Australia, initially gained traction through their YouTube videos. Their songs “She Looks So Perfect” and “Girls Talk Boys” eventually received airplay, leading to wider recognition. Following this, they embarked on tour as the opening act for One Direction, which significantly boosted their popularity. Since then, their journey has been marked by success.
For more than three decades, the trio consisting of Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman, and Wanya Morris, famously known as Boyz II Men, have been delighting audiences with their chart-topping songs such as “I’ll Make Love to You” and “One Sweet Day.
In a different twist to the One Direction storyline, the British band The Wanted gained popularity in the U.S. with their hit song “Glad You Came” from 2012. Following this success, they starred in their own reality show titled “The Wanted Life.” However, after a brief break in 2014, they hinted at a future reunion.
The musical group CNCO was established in 2016, consisting of members Joel Pimentel, Richard Camacho, Erick Brian Colón, Christopher Vélez, and Zabdiel De Jesús. However, they performed together for the last time as a quintet on May 14, following the announcement by Pimentel that he was leaving the band.
For a span of five years, the band Big Time Rush, which started on Nickelodeon, delivered powerhouse performances that included national tours. Fortunately, all four members – Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, Carlos PenaVega, and James Maslow – reunited for two new shows in December 2021.
In the year 2002, the British pop group known as Girls Aloud made history by being one of the first bands to emerge from a reality TV competition series called Popstars: The Rivals. This talented quintet consisted of Sarah Harding, Cheryl (formerly known as Cheryl Cole), Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts, and Kimberley Walsh. During their successful career, they recorded 20 consecutive top 10 singles and four number ones, including “Sound of the Underground,” during their reign at the top of the charts.
