The upcoming release of “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” next month is expected to trigger an increase in marketing efforts by Ubisoft. Previews might become accessible on March 18th, but the company has already declared encouraging pre-orders, similar to those seen for “Assassin’s Creed Odyssey” in 2018.
In simple terms, sources close to Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson indicate that the game “Shadows” has around 300,000 pre-orders. This is significantly more than what “Star Wars Outlaws” reportedly had at a similar stage before its launch. It’s worth noting that Ubisoft later acknowledged that sales for “Star Wars Outlaws” were lower than anticipated during the launch.
Based on the fact that around 400,000 to 450,000 players played Assassin’s Creed Odyssey on its first day, Shadow’s initial player count appears to be heading towards this figure. However, whether it will exceed this number is yet to be determined.
Beginning March 20th, you can get your hands on “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” across platforms like Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Notably, the developers have confirmed that both the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions will run at a resolution of 2160p with a frame rate of 60 FPS in Performance Mode.
