WWE Reveals Surprising Name Change for Ricky Starks

As a die-hard cinema fan, I couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement last week when I witnessed the unexpected appearance of Ricky Starks, a former AEW star, on WWE NXT. It was a surprise not just because he showed up, but also because he wasn’t present at Vengeance Day over the weekend. We were left hanging, eagerly anticipating his return this week in NXT.

The big question on everyone’s mind was about his new identity within the WWE. What would his name be as we ventured into this next chapter of his career? Well, the wait is over, and the answer might just take you by surprise.

In AEW, Ricky Starks was his nickname, but when he made a surprise appearance on NXT, they didn’t mention his name out loud intentionally. Tonight, throughout most of the segment, they stuck with that pattern. However, towards the end of the scene, there was some confusion involving Ethan Page and Wes Lee. Once the chaos settled, Ricky signed the contract, and as the camera focused on the document, it became clear that his name had been changed to Ricky Saints.

The entire sequence unfolded following Ava Raine’s introduction of Ricky for contract signing. Prior to this, the Saints addressed the audience with an enthusiastic promo, expressing their excitement about joining NXT and their desire to fully immerse themselves in all its aspects.

For many, achieving success in NXT is a dream, but for me, it’s become a reality. Being here is reality,” Saints stated. “Main-eventing every NXT Pay-Per-View event? That’s reality. Claiming the NXT Championship? That’s reality, my friend. The undeniable truth is that I am the dominant force in NXT. I will continue to give my all because now, the revolution starts.

The interruption during the contract signing came from Ethan Page, who both complimented Ricky and advised him not to imitate Ethan Page as there’s only one of a kind. He further reminded Ricky of his earlier contract signing where he managed to incorporate a Championship match into the agreement against Trick Williams.

Ricky and Ethan had a brief exchange where they disagreed, but then Ethan criticized Je’Von Evans by claiming he wasn’t able to come out due to being housebound. Just as expected, Evans suddenly appeared, confronting Page, forcing him off the stage, and tossing him over the barrier.

The saints attempted to put their signatures on the contract, but were interrupted once more – this time by Wes Lee. Lee expressed that he wouldn’t hold it against the saints since they’re new, but emphasized that there is a specific procedure for conducting business here. After an exchange of heated words, the saints offered a match next week, but then Lee attempted to sneak-attack him. Instead, Lee ended up getting hit in the face by the saints and being thrown over the ropes to the floor.

After a long wait, Saints officially joined the WWE NXT team by signing his contract. Now, fans are eagerly anticipating what’s coming up next in his WWE adventure as he begins this new chapter.
