This week, Devolver Digital has announced that they will be unveiling two new video games, and one of them is a sequel to Shiny Shoe’s card-based rogue-like game, Monster Train 2. This upcoming title is being published by Big Fan Games, a label under Devolver Digital, and it’s currently in development for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. In this game, players join a fresh set of five factions as they aim to recapture Heaven from the Titans, thereby averting global catastrophe. Each faction offers distinct gameplay styles, and success hinges on strategically positioning units across three levels or floors. New Room and Equipment Cards are introduced, with the former enhancing abilities and the latter conferring benefits to your units.
A fresh destination, named Covenant Outpost, is ready to explore as players experiment with Pyre Hearts to add excitement to gameplay. For those craving more, overcoming challenges and triggering Mutators will grant new visual enhancements. To top it off, there are Daily Challenges, random occurrences in Celestial Alcoves, and an Endless Mode.
Monster Train 2 doesn’t have a release date, but you can try out the demo on PC via Steam.
