EastEnders airs return of iconic character 37 years since last appearance

Anita was our top choice when we were brainstorming ideas for our special anniversary week, and getting her agreement was like the best birthday present ever. Seeing Angie Watts walk through The Queen Victoria’s doors again, exactly 40 years after she first appeared in Walford, is a moment we will cherish as we all celebrate this iconic show that has left an indelible mark on British television.
