In the surprising lake accident plot of Emmerdale, it is now known that Leyla Harding (played by Roxy Shahidi) is the second victim. However, there are yet more characters who remain in danger.
Since Suzy Merton (Martelle Edinborough) perished at the location, it fell upon the remaining ladies in the limousine to escape and navigate their way safely across the icy lake.
Amy Barton, also known as Natalie Ann Jamieson, was saved from the water by Tracy Robinson (Amy Walsh). However, shortly afterwards, she lost consciousness.
Simultaneously, Liam Cavanagh, portrayed by Jonny McPherson, fell unconscious, while Noah Dingle, acted by Jack Downham, was also struggling.
Additionally, Kerry Wyatt, Amy’s mother who is played by Laura Norton, noticed that Leyla was losing a lot of blood. Fortunately, they both quickly exited the limousine as it continued to sink deeper into the water, escaping before further danger ensued.
Emergency vehicles swiftly transported Noah, Liam, Amy, and Leyla to the hospital. Notably, Leyla’s son, Jacob Gallagher, who is a trainee doctor there, played by Joe-Warren Plant, was on duty at the hospital.
Spotting fellow villagers who were with Leyla that night, Jacob became alarmed and started an urgent quest to find his mother.
However, upon entering the doctor’s office with an unresponsive Leyla, Jacob collapsed emotionally, finding it hard to believe that Leyla had passed away on the way in the ambulance.
In poignant moments, Jacob tenderly addressed his mother as he spoke words filled with love, while Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), overwhelmed by guilt, shed tears because her attempt to swerve the limo to dodge Noah on the road resulted in two tragic fatalities.
Liam was seriously ill, while Noah had drugs in his system and it was suspected he had been spiked!
Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) rushed to be with wife Amy, and he and Kerry begged her to recover.
But Amy then suffered a seizure, leaving her life hanging in the balance. Will Amy survive?
