In Avowed, there are treasure maps hidden throughout the primary zones, and these maps guide you to exclusive equipment if you manage to uncover the treasure. In Shatterscarp, which is the third region, you’ll find the map for the Seafarer’s Boots near a picnic blanket located to the east of Thirdborn’s entrance. With this map in your possession, you can trace the path leading to a special pair of boots.

You’ll find the map spread out on a picnic blanket, situated to the east of Thirdborn’s entrance. The picnic spot is located at a lower level than Thirdborn, offering a scenic view of the surrounding desert dunes.
Where to find the Seafarer’s Boots
The Seafarer’s Treasure, specifically the Wavebinder Boots, are hidden close to the Sulfur Mines Basecamp. To the east of this base, you’ll find a river that generally flows north to south. However, keep an eye out for a small branch flowing eastward. Trace this branch to its source and you’ll discover a cave with a deceased body inside. Among the possessions on this corpse are the sought-after Wavebinder Boots. A second cave, opposite these boots, can be unlocked using fire, but it doesn’t contain any items related to the treasure map. You’ll need Yatzli’s disillusion spell to access its loot.
The Wavefinder Boots come with two built-in advantages: one increases your maximum essence by 15, while the other, dubbed ‘Sure Footing’, lessens your movement when struck. It’s important to note that these boots cannot be enhanced or modified in any way, so their passive benefits remain unchanged. Upon obtaining the boots, your quest will be automatically marked as accomplished. If you find yourself without a need for these boots, you can sell them for 750 gold.
