Pokemon Presents Announced for February 27th

Nintendo has officially announced a new Pokemon Presentation set for February 27th, which was hinted at last month through data mined from Niantic’s Pokemon GO. The event will take place at 6 AM Pacific Time and will share all the latest updates related to the franchise, as well as celebrate Pokemon Day.

The anticipated title is “Pokemon Legends: Z-A,” which is scheduled for release on the Nintendo Switch console. This game takes place in Lumiose City and will become available later this year, with specifics regarding gameplay and additional information still under wraps. While there may be future announcements, Jeff Grubb from Giant Bomb suggests that the main emphasis will be on games designed for the Nintendo Switch, rather than exclusives for a potential Switch 2.

The games mentioned will run on the older console because of its backward compatibility, but don’t anticipate any exclusive titles for the new gaming system. One of these games, known as Gaia, which was leaked in October 2024 and appears to start Gen 10, is one example. Additionally, an MMO named Synapse, developed by ILCA, is being created, although the connection to the franchise remains unclear. As usual, we’ll provide more updates next week.
