Don’t Miss Out: Pre-Built PCs with RTX 5070 Ti Still Available Despite GPU Shortage!

On February 20, 2025 at 9 AM EST / 3 PM CET, NVIDIA unveiled its RTX 5070 Ti GPU. True to form, these individual graphics cards were snatched up shortly after their release. I’m monitoring the availability of the RTX 5070 Ti so that hopefully we can find the perfect hardware for your requirements and finances when it becomes available.

Constructing your personal computer tends to be more cost-effective than purchasing a pre-assembled one, however, it’s important to consider the advantages that come with a pre-made PC such as convenience and availability. For those who build their own computers, they benefit from having a wider variety of hardware options, so scarcity in standalone RTX 5000 GPUs doesn’t pose as much of an issue.

Many pre-assembled computers opt for using standard components, shying away from more exclusive setups by manufacturers like Dell, HP, and Lenovo. This gives them a homemade feel instead of a factory-made one. As long as you’re aware of the pros and cons of a pre-built system, purchasing one could be your fastest route to acquiring an RTX 5070 Ti right now.

Feedback on the RTX 5070 Ti hasn’t been overwhelmingly favorable. If you manage to find one available, deciding if it’s a good fit for you depends largely on your existing graphics card setup in your computer.

If your current graphics card is from NVIDIA’s 40-series and tests indicate that the RTX 5070 Ti offers only slight performance improvements compared to the RTX 4070 Ti Super, while being about 15% slower than the RTX 5080, it might not be a worthwhile upgrade for you.

If a larger number of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics cards were sold at their Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price ($749), I might express a different opinion about the market. However, since there isn’t a Founders Edition for the RTX 5070 Ti, you often end up paying whatever third-party manufacturers choose to sell it for. In certain instances, the price of an RTX 5070 Ti can even exceed that of an RTX 5080 with its Factory Edition.

If you’re currently using an older model from NVIDIA or AMD for your graphics card, my suggestion would be to look into the RTX 5070 Ti. If you already have a 30-series GPU, the upgrade to the RTX 5070 Ti might feel like a significant improvement. I’m personally using an AMD Radeon RX 6800, and moving up to an RTX 5070 Ti seems like a notable difference; that is, if I can find one at a fair price.

Additionally, it’s important to note that AMD is set to unveil its 9000-series Radeon RDNA 4 GPUs on February 28th. The anticipated models, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, are expected to go head-to-head with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti. Therefore, it could be a good idea to hold off and observe what AMD offers in terms of competition before making a decision.
