This time, the limelight shines on one of basketball’s rising stars. Often known as the Alien or Wemby, the French basketball sensation and current San Antonio Spurs’ towering 7’3″ starting center Victor Wembanyama is the star player for Season 5. Accompanying him are MyTeam cards inspired by anime, and a host of MyCareer items to collect!
In the 5th season of NBA 2K25, a fresh Season Pass is unveiled, offering a multitude of rewards for players to acquire while progressing through various game modes. Players embarking on their MyCareer journey can draw inspiration from the character Wemby as they navigate towards the postseason. Successful performances in MyCareer games will grant XP, propelling players up a seasonal ladder that usually rewards MyPlayer and UI cosmetics. Additionally, this season provides an opportunity for Badge Elevators to receive a +3 boost instead of being limited to a +2 boost in earlier passes, significantly enhancing individual Badges.

Just as each year brings fresh changes, Season 5 will unveil a host of new MyTeam cards within the Season Pass. Thankfully, players won’t need to work too tirelessly to acquire an engaging card. The EVO Victor Wembanyama card is your initial reward at level 1, enabling players to incorporate Wemby into their roster from day one. Initially, this version of Wembanyama appears as an Amethyst (overall 91) center, but it can transform into a Diamond (overall 92) under specific circumstances. Although it might not be the coveted Dark Matter Wemby that some players anticipated, it’s bound to offer plenty of excitement for those yet to include the Spurs prodigy in their team.
