Wolf King confirms release date on Netflix – with cast including Doctor Who stars

The new Netflix fantasy series, Wolf King, now has an official launch date, along with the premiere of its trailer and the announcement of its cast members.

The upcoming Netflix series, inspired by the well-known Wereworld books penned by Curtis Jobling, is set to debut on your screens on the 30th of March.

It follows a boy who finds out he is the descendant and the last in a line of werewolves.

He must take a perilous trip to overthrow the oppressive rule of the Lion Lords, aiming to seize the throne back from King Leopold and Prince Lucas.

The lineup for the show is now official, featuring Ceallach Spellman, Nina Barker-Francis, Georgia Lock, and Chris Lew Kum Hoi as they portray characters growing up amidst a fantastical realm where people can transform into different beings.

In addition, participating in the animated adventure are: Doctor Who performers Tom Rhys Harries, Colin Ryan, and Samuel Anderson; Rivals’ Louis Landau; Star Wars veteran Peter Serafinowicz; British acting stalwart Paterson Joseph; Luther actor David Dawson; and Brookside star David Yip.

These actors – Kate Fleetwood (from The Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, and others), Kim Adis (Get Even), Kobna Holdbrook (Justice League), Ralph Ineson (The Fantastic Four: First Steps), Rasmus Hardiker (Thunderbirds Are Go), and Rob Rackstraw (Dennis and Gnasher) – are joining the cast for the upcoming series.

The project “Wolf King” has been under development for a while now, officially revealed at Netflix’s Geeked Week last year.

Among the recent fantasy-themed animated productions on Netflix, Wolf King stands out as the newest addition, joining other well-known series such as The Dragon Prince, Arcane, Castlevania, and the latest addition to The Witcher universe, The Sirens of the Deep.
