Donald Trump is sitting behind a new desk.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Over a week since Elon Musk and Grimes’ son, X Æ A-Xii Musk, made headlines by picking his nose at the Resolute Desk during his visit to the White House Oval Office, President Biden has revealed that he’s temporarily switched desks for a more… ahem… nose-picking incident-free environment.
Following his election, a president is given the option to select one out of seven desks, as Trump stated on his Truth Social account on February 19th. The desk currently in use at the White House, known as the ‘C&O,’ was previously utilized by President George H.W. Bush and others. At present, it’s a temporary arrangement while the Resolute Desk is being gently refurbished – an essential task. It’s a stunning, albeit provisional stand-in for the original desk.
Trump, without providing an explanation, also mentioned that he’d serve as a “temporary yet attractive stand-in” instead.
For the past four years leading up to 2021, the president frequently utilized the Resolute Desk during his first term. He has continued to do so on multiple occasions since assuming office on January 20th for his second term, using it to sign executive orders among other tasks.
On February 12th, Musk, one of Trump’s senior advisers, was invited to the Oval Office for a recorded press conference regarding the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). During this event, at one point, the eldest child of Tesla CEO Musk and musician Grimes, who were present, stood behind the Resolute Desk, sandwiched between his father and the president. At this moment, he decided to pick his nose.
Trump, who has referred to himself as a “germaphobe” in the past, remained silent about his response to the encounter; however, he did commend the toddler during their visit at the White House.
He introduced X as someone exceptional, stating that he possesses a high level of intelligence. In simpler terms, he referred to X as an intelligent person.
Elon Musk’s outing with his 4-year-old occurred a few days prior to Ashley St. Clair announcing that they had a newborn together, making it his 13th child in total.
Although Elon has yet to make a public statement about the news, Ashley’s representative declared via a social media post that “We are hoping for Elon to confirm his paternal status publicly, to put an end to unnecessary rumors. Ashley believes that Elon will promptly finalize their agreement, ensuring the best welfare and safety of the child they both share.
