Saber Interactive has unveiled one of the top games expected in 2024 with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and we have new insights into what the development team is transitioning towards next.
According to a report from Polygon, during its latest financial call, Hasbro revealed a collaboration with Saber Interactive for the creation of an AAA game based on one of their intellectual properties (IP). This project will be developed by the team behind “Space Marine 2”. Notably, Hasbro owns well-known franchises like “Dungeons and Dragons”, “Transformers”, “Magic: The Gathering”, “G.I. Joe”, among others.
As per Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks’ statement, the upcoming Saber title is being developed from one of Hasbro’s significant intellectual properties (IPs), and it will leverage the Swarm engine, which was previously employed in the creation of Space Marine 2.
There are numerous upcoming digital collaborations, yet the one I’m particularly thrilled to share today stands out. Being a follower of several games produced by this team, he stated. The collaboration in question is between Hasbro and Saber Interactive, who are joining forces for an innovative video game partnership. This project is being spearheaded by the same team behind the anticipated 2024 release, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. The combination of pulse-pounding single-player action, captivating multiplayer using Saber’s Swarm technology, and being rooted in one of our key intellectual properties, this new AAA title promises to be a resounding success.
What remains unknown at this point is which particular IP (Intellectual Property) Saber and Hasbro are collaborating on for their joint project. Nonetheless, it has been confirmed that they will both be involved in publishing the game together.
At present, Saber Interactive is also working on several other top-tier games that are under license, such as “Jurassic Park: Survival” and the “Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic – Remake”.
