Hobbit Life Sim Tales of the Shire Has Been Delayed Again, Now Out in July

Weta Workshop has postponed the release of its Hobbit life simulator game, Tales of the Shire, for a second time. Originally planned for release on PS5 in April 2025, it will now be available starting July 29th, 2025 – four months later. The update was shared on the game’s social media platforms without providing a specific reason for the delay.

Rather than stating it, the developer expressed a desire for Tales of the Shire to evoke a cozy and comforting sensation reminiscent of Middle-earth, ensuring that regardless of the device or platform you’re using, The Shire will feel like a welcoming home. While the emphasis on “regardless of where you play” might imply potential differences in performance across various platforms, this implication is speculative as the post did not provide specific details.

Tolkien’s literature or those seeking a comforting escape into a warm environment should undoubtedly find much to appreciate in this game.
