In the world of Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, they tend to stick with familiar event formats. Consistent events like Wonder Pick Mass Outbreaks are still around, allowing players to gather a large number of cards from a specific category. For this round, the Mass Outbreak event is centered on dark-type cards, offering enthusiasts the opportunity to expand their decks with elusive cards such as Weavile EX and others. The Darkness-type Mass Outbreak takes place from February 21st to February 27th and includes special card designs exclusive to this event, rare card selections, and a series of missions themed around the event for players to conquer.
Similar to past incidents in the Pokemon TCG Pocket, during the event there will be two kinds of Wonder Pick selections available. The Bonus Picks won’t need any Wonder Stamina and typically offer more common cards along with items such as shop vouchers and hourglasses. Conversely, Rare Picks consume three wonder stamina and contain less frequently encountered cards, including the Weavile EX and Darkrai in this instance.

Besides offering additional chances to gather Darkness-type cards through Wonder Pick, this event includes numerous tasks that reward you with more Wonder Hourglasses and Shop Tickets. Additionally, players can obtain a unique, limited-time event flair in the form of purple bursts for their Weavile EX cards if they manage to collect them.
All Bonus Picks & Rare Picks in the Pokemon TCG Pocket Darkness-Type Mass Outbreak
The bonus selections get updated frequently and usually include one or two cards along with other rewards. Contrastingly, Rare Picks will showcase five cards, just like a regular Wonder Pick. These appear less frequently but provide an opportunity to obtain those harder-to-find cards that help complete your ideal Darkness deck. Here’s the list of all the cards available during the Mass Outbreak event.

Aside from Koffing, a character hailing from the “Genetic Apex” expansion, every other card I’m discussing comes straight from the “Space-Time Smackdown” booster packs.

Rare card picks will include five of the following cards at random:

- Honchkrow
- Weavile EX
- Mightyena
- Skuntank
- Spiritomb
- Darkrai
These all come from the Space-Time Smackdown set, except for Weezing, which is from Genetic Apex.
Darkness-Type Mass Outbreak Missions & Rewards
Typically, during the Mass Outbreak, you’ll find a collection of connected quests that offer extra prizes for choosing Wonder Picks. Here are the missions and their corresponding rewards for this specific event:
1. Mission 1 – Reward 1
2. Mission 2 – Reward 2
3. Mission 3 – Reward 3
4. …and so on…
5. Final Mission – Grand Prize
This structure allows players to progress through the event, earning rewards along the way for their Wonder Picks selections.
- Collect 1 Weavile EX – 1 Wonder Hourglass + 1 Shop Ticket
- Wonder pick 3 times – 1 Wonder Hourglass + 1 Shop Ticket
- Wonder Pick 5 times – 3 Wonder Hourglasses + 3 Shop Tickets
- Collect 5 Darkness-type cards – 2 Wonder Hourglasses + 3 Shop Tickets
- Collect 10 Darkness-type cards – 3 Wonder Hourglasses + 5 Shop Tickets
- Collect 15 Darkness-type cards – 4 Wonder Hourglasses + 7 Shop Ticket
Although these missions may not offer significant rewards, they are quite straightforward if players frequently visit Pokemon TCG Pocket for Bonus and Rare selections. The accumulated Wonder Hourglasses can prepare you effectively when a chance to encounter Weavile EX arises.
