Kroy Biermann Files for Divorce from Kim Zolciak Again: What's Next for the Couple?

Previously professional football player has requested a divorce from the ex-cast member of Real Housewives of Atlanta for the third occasion, as reported by TopMob News on February 21st.

In the documents recently submitted to Cobb County, Georgia, Biermann, aged 39, characterized their relationship as being beyond repair, stating that they now reside in different homes.

According to the divorce papers, the Petitioner and Respondent got legally married around November 11, 2011. Since then, they lived together as husband and wife until around the time this lawsuit was filed, at which point they separated. Since that time, they have been living apart in a genuine state of separation.

Furthermore, Biermann sought child support and proposed to be granted primary custody over his and Zolciak’s children: Kroy Jr. (14), Kash (13), and their 12-year-old twins Kaia and Kane—all four of whom are currently living with the retired Atlanta Falcons player, as stated in the court filing. The couple’s older children, Brielle (28) and Ariana (24), who are Zolciak’s daughters from earlier relationships and were adopted by Biermann after they got married, no longer live at home and have reached adulthood, as indicated in the documents.

TopMob News reached out to reps for Biermann and Zolciak for comment but has not heard back.

Previously, Biermann has sought legal separation from Zolciak, and in April 2023, they both filed for divorce, marking over a decade since their wedding. However, just two months later, the case was dismissed by Zolciak, who is 46 years old, as reported by TopMob News with documents obtained at that time.

According to Biermann’s attorney, they stated in a July 2023 announcement that the two parties involved have decided to drop their divorce case and are instead trying to rebuild their relationship.

However, the reconciliation appeared temporary, since Biermann re-filed papers only two months later to dissolve his union with the reality TV star, in the Fulton County of Georgia, as indicated by documents acquired by TopMob.

Despite neither ex-partner commenting on the latest court document, which Biermann submitted in a different county due to where his ex resides now, Zolciak has become open about her ways of handling the tumultuous ending of their relationship.

For Kim Zolciak, the ring had lost all significance when she initiated divorce proceedings against Kroy Biermann on May 8, after more than a decade of marriage.

Based on papers acquired by TMZ, it appears that the couple’s separation date was marked as April 30th. The former star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta expressed that their marriage is beyond repair and there’s no prospect of reuniting.

Kim, who has children Kroy Jr., 11, Kash, 10, and the twin 9-year-olds Kane and Kaia (all shared with a former NFL player), as well as older daughters Brielle, 25, and Ariana, 21, is seeking primary physical custody of the kids, along with joint legal custody, according to the court documents.

After Kim filed her petition, Kroy followed suit by submitting a request for sole legal and physical custody of their four kids as well.

According to legal papers obtained by TopMob News, Kim was issued a summons directing both her and Kroy to fill out a family assessment form, which tracks the wellbeing of their children for a period of 30 days.

On May 16th, the star of “Don’t Be Tardy” submitted a petition asking her former spouse to undergo a drug test. According to reports from TopMob News, Kim claimed she has observed Kroy using marijuana and expressed grave worries for the children’s safety and welfare. In the documents, Kim requested a five-panel hair follicle drug screening to help the court decide on child custody arrangements. Additionally, she asked Kroy not to trim his hair before the test.

Kroy hasn’t replied to her message as of now. We’ve attempted to contact his legal representative for a statement, but have not received any response yet from them.

On that very day when she submitted her request, Kim posted a mysterious message about partnerships on her social network platform.

The most profound expression of love is thoughtfulness,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories. “When someone takes your feelings into account. Notices the little things. Takes you into consideration when making choices that may impact you. In any relationship, the extent of their affection for you can be seen in how much they think about you.” She ended it with a heart emoji to emphasize her point.

Kim took to Instagram to share another arcane message about relationships on May 24.

The quote re-posted on Kim’s Instagram Stories stated, “It’s manipulation when they accuse you of overreacting to their harmful actions, yet refuse to acknowledge their disrespectful behavior that caused your response.” In response, written in capital letters, Kim commented, “Read it again…

The acrimonious separation between the couple has left their followers in shock, as well as their previous supervisor, Andy Cohen.

Two months after they announced their separation, Kim and Kroy chose to rekindle their marriage.

Interestingly, the legal representative of the former NFL star, Marlys A. Bergstrom, informed TopMob News that “the parties are choosing to dismiss their divorce action and are attempting a reconciliation.

The news broke a few days following the instance where Kim and Kroy, accompanied by their four youngest children, were spotted strolling to church as a family.

In the days following their reconciliation, Kim subtly indicated the significance of their marriage by wearing her wedding ring, as seen on her Instagram Story dated July 11th.

The couple’s effort to make up didn’t work out; on August 24th, Kroy filed for divorce a second time, as reported by TMZ. He claims that their marriage is beyond repair, and he seeks sole legal and physical custody of their four children in the future. Additionally, he has requested child support and alimony.

On the 25th of September, Kim submitted a fresh request to discard Kroy’s second divorce plea, claiming that despite their ongoing separation, they continue to share a bed as husband and wife for over eleven years.

According to the Bravo star’s statement in the documents we acquired from TopMob News, there has been ongoing marital intimacy between the parties contrary to the assertions made in the Petition for Divorce. This includes a recent instance that allegedly occurred around September 7, 2023.

Despite still being separated, Kim and Kroy marked their 12th wedding anniversary on November 11 by sharing a private Italian meal together.
