In this winter season, “Dragon Ball Daima” is nearing its final episode in its new anime series, and it has fully displayed Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta’s full potential. The show is progressing towards the climactic battle against the Supreme Demon King Gomah, and things took an unexpected turn at the end of the last episode when Glorio wished on the Dragon Balls from the Demon Realm. In Episode 19, it was disclosed that this wish had transformed Goku and the other characters back into adults, providing us with some thrilling battles as a consequence.
In the world of Dragon Ball Daima, Vegeta’s debut as Super Saiyan 3 stands out as a momentous reveal, making history as the first time he had ever used this form in the show’s main storyline. For years, fans had been eagerly awaiting to see this specific transformation, and Dragon Ball Daima delivered by showing Vegeta’s full potential in this newfound form as an adult. Finally witnessing it was definitely worth the anticipation.
Dragon Ball Debuts Adult SSJ3 Vegeta
In Episode 19 of Dragon Ball Daima, we move a step nearer to the climax of the series. It’s exposed that Glorio had employed the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls to reverse Goku and the gang back into adults. Despite their previous battles, Gomah was swiftly recuperating from all the attacks they inflicted. Thanks to his Tertian Oculus, it seemed as though Gomah was sustaining no damage at all, as his magic and strength were as potent as when this conflict started. So, becoming adults again appeared to resolve this problem.
After regaining their physical forms, Vegeta steps up to battle Gomah next. Once he’s back on track with his body, Vegeta swiftly transforms into his Super Saiyan 3 state. This move takes a toll on Gomah, and Vegeta keeps attacking the Supreme Demon King. However, due to the Tertian Oculus, Gomah was recuperating from previous events, while Vegeta was gradually depleting his energy throughout the fight. Regrettably, this situation meant that viewers didn’t get to witness the full extent of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta for a prolonged period.
Following their resurgence in their original bodies, Vegeta faces off against Gomah next. Upon getting reacclimated with his body, Vegeta rapidly morphs into his Super Saiyan 3 form. This tactic significantly affects Gomah, and Vegeta persistently attacks the Supreme Demon King. However, thanks to the Tertian Oculus, Gomah was recovering from prior incidents, while Vegeta gradually weakened as the fight progressed. Unfortunately, this circumstance prevented fans from enjoying extended periods of Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta in action.
Dragon Ball Is Trying to Make Things Up to Vegeta
The spacing of these reveals concerning Vegeta seems intended to compensate for the fact that he’ll once again find himself left behind as Goku unveils a novel type of form which he can’t attain. Similar to how Super Saiyan 3 was thought to be an exclusive ability of Goku for quite some time before Vegeta employed it in “Dragon Ball Daimao”, Vegeta utilizing this power now is a way to make up for the time lost. However, it also means that he’ll be overshadowed by the emergence of a fresh Super Saiyan 4 transformation, a form that Vegeta won’t have the opportunity to use in future events.
In a nutshell, Dragon Ball Daima is subtly highlighting the distinct personalities between Vegeta and Goku during their ongoing battle, suggesting that Vegeta might be content with forgoing this new form. However, it’s a tad too late in the game for such a revelation. Nonetheless, it’s exciting for fans to finally witness this incarnation of Vegeta in action, albeit briefly, after such a long wait.
