It appears that Ubisoft is set to unveil “Assassin’s Creed Shadows” within the next month, but it seems some enthusiastic gamers have managed to get their hands on the game ahead of schedule. A Reddit user shared a photo of PS5 versions being offered for sale as a heads-up about potential spoilers that may surface in the near future.
Additionally, it’s been shared by YouTuber The Hidden Ones that someone is playing an early version of the game on PS5 because the PlayStation Store accidentally released a build. Furthermore, he claims to have witnessed gameplay suggesting the comeback of a specific mechanic from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
Warning: The video below contains several plot twists or surprises (spoilers), particularly regarding the story of Valhalla, so it’s best to prepare yourself before watching.
It seems that within Valhalla, the player apparently came across glitches in the Animus system, which presented as challenging jumping puzzles. A message popped up saying “Animus systems compromised. Resolve anomalies to gather data pieces and progress your active timeline,” and it is said that this message even provided instructions on how to activate the Animus using the touchpad.
Keep in mind that this might not be accurate, but there have been instances where Ubisoft games were revealed before their release. If it turns out to be real, the upcoming ‘Assassin’s Creed Shadows’ could be one of the most surprising leaks, as it’s scheduled for launch next month.
Keep an eye out as we approach the launch on March 20th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Previews are set to be published on March 18th, so stay tuned for more information and insights!
