It appears there’s growing optimism among fans of outstanding games as signs suggest Atlus is diligently working on a potential remake of Persona 4. Given the record-breaking sales of the 2024 remake, Persona 3 Reload, it seems plausible that the game widely regarded as the series’ best would receive similar attention. This optimism has been further fueled by singer Shihoko Hirata sharing some intriguing tidbits.
User Rudiger has been keeping a close eye on developments and sharing findings about the mounting proof. In his investigation, he discovered that voice actress Hirata, whose vocal performances are crucial to the P4 experience, has returned to MIT Studio’s Studio 2 in Tokyo – where most Persona soundtracks have been recorded for the past ten years. Hirata disclosed she’s been working on a secret game, and Rudiger deduced that it was likely the same studio shown in the “Recording Making-of” documentary for Persona 5 Strikers.
If Hirata isn’t currently producing music for a SEGA-exclusive game like Persona or Yakuza/Like a Dragon, it would be the first time in years that the studio has worked on an external intellectual property (IP). Interestingly, the singer has been actively showing interest in Persona 4 by liking related comments recently.
What’s your take on it? Perhaps it’s high time we revisit Inaba and once more delve into the enigma surrounding The Midnight Channel. Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
