The creators of Mortal Kombat 1, NetherRealm Studios, have revealed that the last downloadable character for the game, the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day, will be released on March 25th. If you own Kombat Pack 2 or the Khaos Reigns expansion, you’ll gain access to this character a week earlier, starting March 18th. You can watch a new teaser video below, demonstrating the Terminator in combat action.
In the movie, Robert Patrick portrays the T-1000, a sophisticated robot that mimics liquid metal to change its form. This feature enables it to unleash blades as weapons and boast an extraordinary resilience. During battles, these unique abilities are showcased – transforming between attack sequences being one of them. Notably, the T-1000’s deadly finishing move is a nod to its on-screen appearance.
It’s quite fascinating, in fact, that Madam Bo might be introduced as a fresh Kameo Fighter. Players are likely to recall her from the Fengjian Teahouse within the main game’s narrative, where she holds a less prominent position.
The first installation of Mortal Kombat is now playable on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Feel free to peruse our review of this title as well as its expansion pack, Khaos Reigns. As of yet, NetherRealm has remained silent regarding additional support for the game; however, they have introduced a new ninja character inspired by Pink Floyd into the mix.
