Inside the Heartbreaking Rift Between Prince Harry and Prince William

Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship remains strained.

Jason Knauf, who earlier worked as a communication secretary for the siblings along with their spouses Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, recently disclosed some exclusive information about the current state of their relationship, given the ongoing feud between the brothers.

During his interview on 60 Minutes Australia, which was broadcasted on February 23rd, Jason shared that it’s challenging for [William] to deal with this matter in the public sphere. However, he has decided to keep his opinions about it confidential. I believe we should all honor his privacy by not discussing it further.

He remarked, ‘Naturally, it’s been tough and sorrowful, particularly for those of us familiar with both of them.’

The former aide noted that, like any family, the British royals have good times and bad times.

Even in families where there’s a lot of love, there are moments of highs and lows,” he pointed out. “Sometimes, you might find yourself not wanting to be around them as much.

When inquired about if William’s ascension to the throne could impact Harry’s future role within the family, Jason alluded to the deep-rooted history shared by the brothers.

He clarified, “It’s not for me to predict what will happen next, but they have accomplished so much as a team, and nothing can erase those achievements from history.

Jason also briefly addressed his time working with both Harry and Meaghan on their 2018 nuptials.

The ex-royal staff member, who allegedly made a complaint against Meghan in 2018, stated, “I worked side by side with them and we shared numerous wonderful moments. Planning their wedding was an extraordinary, enchanting journey. I truly hope they continue to thrive with their beautiful family.

In recent times, there has been limited open communication between William and Harry. However, during a significant birthday last year, William and Kate found an opportunity to extend their best wishes to the younger royal.

On their Instagram story on September 15, they posted a birthday wish for “The Duke of Sussex,” celebrating his 40th birthday.

She expressed her sense of relief in being in remission and continues to stay committed to her recovery, as she shared in a post on X (previously known as Twitter) on January 14. She went on to express her excitement, saying, “I’m eagerly anticipating a rewarding year to come.” Or simply, “I can’t wait for an exciting year ahead!

In a heartfelt manner, Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is grieving over the passing of her cherished rescue beagle, whom she welcomed into her family back in 2015 prior to marrying Prince Harry.

On Instagram, she shared on January 7th: “I’ve shed so many tears I can’t even count – the kind that lead you to step into the shower, praying the flowing water on your face might miraculously erase them or make them seem invisible. But they are real. And it’s okay to feel them as well.

Meghan expressed gratitude for all the years of selfless affection she received from her dear Guy, saying, “Your love has been boundless and I’m thankful.” She also shared that he had enriched her life in ways that he may not fully realize.

 

Edward “Ed” Pettifer—stepson of Prince William and Prince Harry’s former nanny Alexandra Pettifer, also known as Tiggy Legge-Bourke—was one of the victims of the New Year’s Day terrorist attack in New Orleans.

William expressed his shock and sadness over the unfortunate demise of Ed Pettifer, stating this on a post made to Kate Middleton’s Instagram Stories on January 4th. He conveyed that his thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Pettifer family as well as everyone else who has been affected by this heart-wrenching event.
