Fans Take Control of Survivor’s 50th Season

Survivor is about to be in the hands of the fans.

CBS revealed a significant change for the imminent 50th season of its popular reality game show, which is expected to significantly impact the strategies employed by contestants to outsmart, outmaneuver, and outlive one another.

For the very first time, fans are now able to influence the game directly through their votes on crucial aspects of the program, as confirmed on February 24th.

Beginning with the debut of Survivor Season 48 (Wednesday, Feb. 26), viewers can visit survivor50cbs.votenow.tv to cast their votes in various rounds such as “Idols or No Idols,” “Final Four Fire Making: Keep It or Lose It,” and “Live Finale and Reunion Show in L.A.—or Keep the Winner Reveal and Aftershow in the Jungles of Fiji.” The voting period will end before production on Season 50 starts, leaving players unaware of the outcomes that may impact them.

And longtime host Jeff Probst couldn’t be more excited for the new twists and turns that lie ahead.

Starting from its initial season, “Survivor” has consistently evolved, and now, as we approach our 50th season, it’s time for another significant change. We are calling this new edition “Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans”. For the very first time, the power will be in the hands of our dedicated viewers – they will decide crucial aspects of the game, such as twists, idols, and advantages. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing what decisions our fans make for our returning players!

In collaboration with Fiji Airways, the reality show Survivor will grant five fortunate fan groups an unparalleled opportunity to visit Fiji while the show is being filmed for its 50th season.

As a dedicated follower, I eagerly anticipate that in the upcoming months, I, along with other Survivor enthusiasts and the castaways from seasons 49 and 50, will be jetting off to Fiji on a specially branded Fiji Airways plane, emblazoned with Survivor 50 insignia. This airline is not only flying us to our exotic destination for this monumental season, but also regularly carries travelers to and from Fiji throughout the year.

Survivor‘s 50th season will premiere February 2026.

However, before that, delve into the stories of the 18 fresh contestants from season 48, each vying for the grand $1 million award. Enjoy!

The hit show “Survivor” resumes its run on Wednesday, February 26th, starting at 8 pm on CBS. You can also catch up with the episodes on Paramount+.
