In 2023, indie studio Geometric Interactive entered the scene with a strong start, creating one of the year’s standout games titled “COCOON.” Details about their next project are now surfacing, although it has yet to be officially announced. However, at this year’s Annapurna Interactive Showcase 2025, we received the initial and somewhat limited information about the upcoming game.
At the showcase, it was announced that Annapurna Interactive, known for publishing games like COCOON, will also publish Geometric Interactive’s second game. However, the title of this upcoming game remains undisclosed. Geometric’s audio director and composer, Jakob Schmid, hinted that it would be a unique project unlike anything they have worked on previously.
Before working on COCOON, the development team at Geometric Interactive was previously part of Playdead, where they contributed to the creation of games like Limbo and Inside. The fact that their next project will differ significantly from these games might not reveal much, but given their past work, it’s certainly promising. We can only hope for more information to be shared soon. Keep an eye out for updates in the meantime.
