Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 – Peter Parker “Won’t be Relegated to the Couch,” Actor Says

NOTE: There are spoilers ahead for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Following the release of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in 2023, Insomniac Games clarified that Miles Morales will become the main Spider-Man character in future installments. While Peter Parker chose to retire at the end of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, he won’t be completely absent from the next game.

Yuri Lowenthal, who portrays Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Insomniac series, has affirmed in an interview with The Direct that his character will remain significant in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. He emphasized that Spider-Man won’t be confined to a couch in this upcoming game.

Regarding the game, there isn’t much I can share, but I can confirm one thing – yes, Peter will indeed be back for the next installment. He won’t be a spectator; you have my word on that.

It’s yet to be clarified what this implies, but it’s likely not shocking news that the upcoming Spider-Man game will indeed star – as you might guess – Spider-Man. The main uncertainty lies in whether Peter Parker will continue to be a playable character.

It’s important to note that Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 has not been formally declared by the developers yet. However, according to a significant leak following a ransomware attack against Insomniac in December 2023, there are indications that the game might be aiming for a release in the year 2028.
