Atari is bringing back another of their iconic retro series with a fresh, contemporary twist. The game, named “Breakout Beyond,” is a new take on the popular brick-breaking arcade game, set to launch on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
Choice Provisions, creators of the Bit.Trip series, have designed Breakout Beyond with a unique twist: rather than the traditional vertical playstyle, this game moves sideways. You’ll be controlling a ball that bounces amongst the blocks, with the aim of destroying them horizontally instead of vertically.
Instead of removing each individual brick, your aim is to create extended combinations and ultimately reach the objective at the end of each level.
As your combination expands, the impacts and tunes become more intense and chaotic, while hidden power-ups may be uncovered to put you at an advantage, resulting in even more extraordinary visuals and audios.
In this game, you’ll find 72 different stages to explore, a cooperative mode for two players, and an unending challenge for those eager to showcase their abilities.
