As a dedicated Helldivers 2 player, I’ve just led a team to brave the dense Terminid spores of the Gloom, liberate Fori Prime from insectoid invaders, and collect priceless data and resources to create countermeasures against the Illuminate’s devastating Meridian black hole. However, there’s no respite for the valiant Lady Liberty troops like me. The battle continues!
Military forces are currently being deployed towards the western sector of the Galactic War by Super Earth High Command, in reaction to a fresh attack by the Automatons. According to the most recent directive from Major Order, “the adversary aims to seize two key objectives” over the next four days: the world of Duma Tyr and the planet Julheim.
In one location, there are factories capable of creating a new MD-8 Gas Mines tactic for Helldivers if protected. Meanwhile, the other spot houses relatively weak adult populations. The High Command communicates that our Federation can only spare resources to save one, thus posing a challenge for the players.
From the initial responses within the community, it appears that many Helldivers would prioritize saving the people of Julheim over Duma Tyr and its mines in a hypothetical situation where they must make a choice. This decision seems to be influenced by memories of when developer Arrowhead donated to the Save the Children charity, following players’ decision to save citizens in “Super Citizen Anne’s Hospital for Very Sick Children” instead of obtaining MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines from Marfark. It seems that the community is hoping for a repeat of such an event if Julheim’s defenses remain strong.
Currently, the Helldivers are daringly working to safeguard not just one but two worlds. They are protecting Bekvam III, a strategic planet with links to both realms, which the Automatons likely plan to attack from. If Bekvam III remains secure, the Automatons will be completely isolated from Julheim and Duma Tyr, halting their offensive in its tracks.
User happyapathy553 seems to be attempting to pose a trolley problem here, but let me clarify that we should steer clear of such complications,” writes u/happyapathy553 in the discussion on the operation. “Regrettably, it appears this message will go unnoticed, but I concur with your sentiments,” replies u/redge55 to the author. However, they were proved wrong as the thread has garnered over 2K upvotes and a multitude of gamers are joining Bekvam III in-game.
This strategic move of advancing defense is quite clever, but it does have its imperfections. The Automatons can reach Julheim from its western side by capturing Charon Prime and then Charbal-VII. Consequently, players must vigilantly defend not just one of these worlds, but also Bekvam III to thwart attacks on both the targeted planets. For a comprehensive view of the battlefield, I suggest checking out the Helldivers Companion site created by the community for a more transparent perspective of the war map.
Additionally, here’s some encouraging news: Approximately 40,000 Helldivers are currently taking action to ward off the attack on Bekvam III, and they’re seeing significant success. More Helldivers are joining the battle each minute as they warp towards the verdant planet. Furthermore, players have chosen to deploy the powerful Democracy Space Station (DSS) at Bekvam III. The DSS is expected to relocate there from Martale within approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from now.

If Helldivers collect enough Requisition Slips (currently, the community has amassed 63% of the required amount), they will unlock the ability to deploy the DSS’ Orbital Blockade function. This blockade can hinder Automatons from utilizing Bekvam III as a base for assaults on Julheim and Duma Tyr. By doing so, if Bekvam III falls, we won’t have to fear invasion forces originating from it, allowing us either to attempt retaking it or concentrate our efforts on another crucial planet instead.
In an ideal world, we would defend both Bekvam III and Charon Prime at the same time. However, considering that the defense of Charon Prime is already lagging significantly, I believe our best strategy as Helldivers should be to concentrate on defending Bekvam III first, and then shift our focus to Charbal-VII once it’s inevitably under attack by the Automatons advancing from Charon Prime.
It’s best if another assault on Bekvam III doesn’t commence until after Charbal-VII has taken place, as managing two potent invasion forces simultaneously would prove challenging. However, contributions towards the DSS for the Eagle Storm operation are now being made, which aims to delay invasions and occasionally bombard enemy troops with airstrikes in gameplay. This should become active soon to strengthen our defensive measures.
One reason I adore Helldivers 2 is its engaging, player-generated strategies, but even the most meticulous players’ plans will face tough challenges ahead. Prepare for action, Helldivers!
Helldivers 2 is a top-notch choice among both PC and PS5 games, particularly for fans of cooperative shooters, thrilling sci-fi action, humorous physics stunts, and satirical writing. Normally priced at around $40, it’s worth searching for deals to lower the cost. Currently, the best deal is offered by CDKeys, reducing the price by more than $12, making it possible to purchase this explosive game for less than $30.
