By now, as we’ve moved a couple of months into 2025, many highly anticipated movies from the previous year, 2024, are finally available for streaming. These blockbuster hits and contenders for awards were primarily released towards the end of 2024. Over the past few weeks, these films and shows have been gradually added to various streaming platforms. Yesterday saw another significant addition from the 2024 award season lineup, with a new title appearing on Paramount+.
The film in question is titled September 5, and it comes from director Tim Fehlbaum. The thriller tells the incredibly tense story of the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany, when a group of Israeli athletes were taken hostage by terrorists. The film views the story through the eyes of an American sports broadcasting team, who have to pivot to covering a real, terrifying story in the midst of a major sports event.
On December 5th of last year, September 5th was warmly received with much praise and was often ranked as one of the top films of 2024. Now that it’s available for streaming on Paramount+, a wider audience can easily enjoy this highly-acclaimed movie.

On September 5, I’m excited to say that Paramount+ will premiere its latest film offering. Yet, there’s even more excitement brewing as a plethora of fresh titles are scheduled to join the platform in mere days – right at the beginning of March!
