Netmarble’s forthcoming RPG inspired by the TV series “Game of Thrones,” named “Game of Thrones: Kingsroad,” now offers a playable demo on PC. This demo, accessible during Steam Next Fest, enables players to explore and experiment with the initial stages of the game.
Although the specific extent of content in the demo remains uncertain, its description suggests that gamers will venture into some of Westeros’ northern regions on the continent. This journey will take them to famous locations from both the TV series and George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” books such as The Wall and Winterfell. Simultaneously, Netmarble encourages players to share their thoughts about the game by participating in a survey.
The studio has disclosed the PC requirements necessary to run the demo for the game titled Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. For a smooth gaming experience, the minimum hardware requirements include either an Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8350 CPU, 16 GB of RAM, and a graphics card like the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of VRAM. However, for optimal performance, the studio advises using a PC equipped with an Intel Core i7-9700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU, 32 GB of RAM, and either the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 with 8 GB of VRAM or an AMD Radeon RTX 5700 XT.
The FAQ for the demo launch mentions that you’ll need a consistent internet connection to enjoy playing the game. Although an in-game account will be necessary, the developers have confirmed that you can utilize the same account to play Game of Thrones: Kingsroad once it’s been released officially.
During the trial phase, Netmarble has additionally initiated a range of in-game activities for players to join. Throughout this period, some perks players can secure include Check-In incentives, which grant them assorted game items as they play the title for five consecutive days.
