According to Craig Duncan, a top executive at the company, more established and iconic Xbox game series are expected to be launched on PlayStation 5 in the near future, as he discussed during an official podcast this week.
During the airing, the former Rare leader seized the moment to unveil a postponement for Playground Games‘ forthcoming Fable reboot, while additionally discussing their company’s intentions to create multiple format games in the future.
He emphasized that it’s beneficial both for gamers and our game studios. Our studios create exceptional games, and we aim to provide them with the opportunity to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. I believe it’s advantageous for gamers to have access to our games in more locations.
Duncan went on to say: “It’s great for every game creator to see their work enjoyed by a wide audience. That’s why I’m thrilled that our studios get the chance to reach many players.
To date, Microsoft has revealed numerous games destined for the PS5, such as Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Age of Mythology, among others. It’s heavily suggested that additional titles will be unveiled in the future, potentially including Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Gears of War, and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
It appears that no franchise is immune from this trend, suggesting that Xbox games may likely become available on Sony’s platform in the future.
