Where is The One That Got Away filmed?

The series ‘The One That Got Away’ unfolds in the picturesque region of Pembrokeshire. Not surprisingly, the show was also captured on camera in southern Wales and Pembroke Dock.
A particular filming site is the region encompassing the River Cleddau, specifically the Cleddau Bridge, as reported by Wales Online.
During an interview with BBC Radio Wales Breakfast, as per BBC News reports, the program’s writer Catherine Tregenna mentioned that the location where they film is among her most loved spots. She pointed out that artists come from various parts of the globe to this place.
She added that she hopes the series will showcase Wales’s “beautiful and bleak” landscape.

Stepping back onto Welsh soil for filming this series was nothing short of delightful. Immersing myself in all things Welsh, from the scenic landscapes to the warm camaraderie among the dedicated, tight-knit crew, made every day on set a memorable and extraordinary experience. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to return home and be part of this production.
Catherine Tregenna’s writing left me astonished. This isn’t your ordinary crime thriller – it delves much further. What captivated me was the absence of heroes, instead, the characters are intricate, scarred, and authentic; everyone is as imperfect as the next. It feels incredibly real, giving it a profound sense of humanity. In my view, it’s a story about what it truly means to be human.
Ben Bickerton, the Executive Producer at Blacklight Television, expressed his joy when it was announced that The One That Got Away would broadcast on BBC Four and BBC One Wales: “We are thrilled that The One That Got Away has found a home with the BBC. It’s been an honor to work in Wales, collaborating with some of the top writing, acting, and directing talent.
Viewers will find themselves captivated, not just by the suspenseful crime plotline, but equally by the intricate romantic tale that lies at the core of this production. Will detectives Ffion Lloyd and Rick Sheldon be able to apprehend the murderer before they commit another heinous act?
