Razer and Minecraft Unleash Their Limited-Edition Collection

Among all brands and companies I frequently engage with here at Windows Central, Razer and Minecraft stand out as my top picks. While both are associated with the gaming world and share a distinctive green identity, they don’t have many commonalities otherwise.

Surprise! The wait is over as Razer and Mojang Studios have unveiled a unique Minecraft-themed collection, consisting of four bestselling PC gaming accessories adorned with distinctive Minecraft designs. You can grab these items right now, so let’s delve into the details without further delay.

The Razer Minecraft Collection overview

In my recent findings, I’ve unveiled that four top-selling accessories from Razer are receiving a Minecraft makeover, and these exciting items are now up for grabs, effective immediately.

  • Razer Kraken V4 X Minecraft Edition wired gaming headset for $99.99 at Razer — compared to the standard Kraken V4 X for $80
  • Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition wired gaming mouse for $59.99 at Razer — compared to the standard Cobra for $40
  • Razer BlackWidow V4 X Minecraft Edition wired gaming keyboard for $169.99 at Razer — compared to the standard BlackWidow V4 X for $130
  • Razer Gigantus V2 Minecraft Edition soft mousepad for $29.99 at Razer — compared to the standard Gigantus V2 for $10

To acquire the full Razer Minecraft Bundle, it will cost you $360. If you’re more interested in a cool new gaming setup and aren’t particularly drawn to the Minecraft-themed designs, you can opt for the standard versions of these products at a price of $260. So, if you’re a dedicated Minecraft enthusiast, you’ll be paying an additional $100.

I believe the price hikes are justifiable compared to the Razer Kuromi Collection I assessed, but it’s important to note that you’ll have to shell out a bit extra if you want to incorporate these into your collection.

Razer Kraken V4 X Minecraft Edition

Although we haven’t evaluated the Razer Kraken V4 X wired gaming headset, I have assessed the Razer Kraken V4 wireless gaming headset with a comparable design and functionality. If you’re comfortable with a wired connection, this headset is an excellent, budget-friendly choice priced at $80. Spending an additional $20 for the Minecraft edition doesn’t seem excessively pricey.

Purchasing the Razer Kraken V4 X Minecraft Edition comes with a unique in-game Minecraft code that allows you to unlock the Ender Dragon Shawl cosmetic item within the game.

I lean more towards the standard Razer Kraken V4 X, as I find it more appealing, but the special Creeper edition is quite stylish and accurately represents the theme. What really catches my eye about this limited edition is the presence of creepers on the ear cups’ interiors.

Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition

Previously, we didn’t cover the regular Razer Cobra model, but my coworker did evaluate the Razer Cobra Pro wireless gaming mouse – a superior and cable-free version. In brief, this mouse is ideal for individuals seeking a balance between comfort, features, and performance. Although the Minecraft Edition costs an extra $20, which seems pricey, you’re still getting a high-quality accessory.

Purchasing the Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition comes with a special in-game Minecraft code that unlocks the Overgrown Arm cosmetic item.

I don’t particularly care for this design, mainly due to the prominent placement of a grass block which appears unusual for a mouse-themed game. However, one advantage is that you’ll definitely stay connected with the ground during play. No apologies necessary.

Razer BlackWidow V4 X Minecraft Edition

It’s worth noting that we’ve assessed the Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro, not the budget-friendly BlackWidow V4 X model. The BlackWidow V4 Pro, part of Razer’s expansive gaming keyboard series, includes less RGB lighting and a reduced number of extra features compared to its counterpart. Interestingly, the Minecraft Edition carries an additional $40 cost, aligning with the pricing structure of the entire collection.

We tested the pricier version (Razer BlackWidow V4 Pro) instead of the budget one (BlackWidow V4 X). This high-end keyboard from Razer’s gaming lineup has less colorful lighting and fewer extra features. The Minecraft Edition costs an extra $40, which is consistent with the other versions in its series.

Purchasing the Razer BlackWidow V4 X Minecraft Edition grants you a special in-game Minecraft code, which unlocks the Ender Dragon Shawl cosmetic item within the game.

Among all the items in the assortment, this one is my preferred pick. The innovative design of the grass block base for the keyboard is quite intriguing, and I adore the tiny Creepers placed around the arrow keys. It’s unfortunate that the fantastic grass block keycap isn’t part of the keyboard’s initial cost, however. Additionally, I couldn’t locate a source where it can be purchased.

Razer Gigantus V2 (Medium) Minecraft Edition

While it’s not typically our practice to evaluate simple, everyday mousepads, we are aware that Razer, similar to many respected brands, excels in producing high-quality items. The Minecraft Edition, however, comes with a threefold price increase compared to the standard black and green model, which might seem a bit overpriced to some.

Purchasing the Razer Gigantus V2 (Medium) Minecraft Edition will reward you with a special in-game Minecraft code, which unlocks the Overgrown Arm cosmetic item.

Once more, I’m not particularly impressed with this design. It appears to be only slightly more captivating than the generic Minecraft mousepads that are abundant online, and the price tag is $20 higher than those alternatives. However, since it’s an official product, I suppose there might be some appeal for fans of the brand.

A good collection targeting more interesting products

I adored the designs of the Razer Kuromi Collection, yet felt disappointed that Razer chose only its budget items for the limited-edition makeover. The Razer Minecraft Collection still lacks flagship products, but these items align much better with what I believe are typical desk essentials for most people.

Unfortunately, the designs didn’t turn out to be as captivating as I had anticipated. However, in my viewpoint, the Razer Kuromi Collection stands out more, even though it consists of less expensive items.

While Minecraft certainly has a wealth of components such as blocks, mobs, and biomes, there were numerous intriguing paths Razer and Mojang Studios could have explored in their design. The choices of creepers and grass blocks, though they may seem basic, are just two examples among many possibilities.

Indeed, it would bring joy to many Minecraft enthusiasts, particularly if you find yourself with a youthful gamer who requires top-notch accessories for their game station.

In addition to that, Minecraft has started experimenting with fresh, adorable egg designs and distinctive wolf characters. Meanwhile, on the Razer front, I have recently shared my thoughts on two new products – the Razer Handheld Dock Chroma and the Razer Monitor Stand Chroma. Keeping myself quite occupied as always!
