In a new action-packed thriller, Tom Hardy makes his return, promising an abundance of intense violence and equal measures of turmoil according to the preview.
Under the title “Havoc”, the upcoming movie featuring Tom Hardy as hard-boiled detective Walker will be streaming on Netflix starting from 25th April. In this gritty story, Walker must battle his way through the dangerous criminal underworld that’s threatening to consume his city entirely.
The movie is often referred to as a heartfelt tribute by director Gareth Evans (of “Gangs of London” and “The Raid”) to the heroic action-violence genre, which was popular in Hong Kong films during the 1980s and 1990s.

Although the trailer intentionally holds back key details, Netflix offers additional insights about this pulse-pounding thriller by revealing: “After a drug transaction turns sour, the protagonist, Walker, faces pursuit from multiple directions – a vindictive crime network, a corrupt politician, and even his own colleagues.
As he endeavors to save the politican’s troubled son, who’s drug-related activities gradually expose a vast network of corruption and intrigue, he finds himself compelled to grapple with the shadows of his own past.
At a Netflix event called “Next on Netflix,” held earlier this year, Jessie Mei Li, one of Hardy’s colleagues, shared that his improvisations on set were often unexpected and unpredictable.
The actor from Shadow and Bone commented: “Indeed, some of Tom’s improvisations were… frankly, too explicit for me to repeat here! However, it was definitely a blast. And I believe that the joy of collaborating with Tom and Gareth came from the freedom we had to explore and innovate.
Tom’s acting is always full of surprises, which I genuinely appreciate as it made things intriguing. Consequently, we discovered numerous elements, many of them on the spot, during the process. All in all, it was an enjoyable experience.
In addition to Hardy and Mei Li, the movie features Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker as its main stars.
