Approximately four years since its initial announcement, the much-anticipated movie from renowned action director Gareth Evans will finally hit screens. Back in 2021, Netflix revealed that Evans would be penning and directing a suspenseful film titled Havoc, which then entered production. However, a hold-up during reshoots caused a significant delay. Following a lengthy production process, the highly awaited movie Havoc is due for release this spring, and Netflix has shared an intense sneak peek of the action to come.
On Wednesday, Netflix released a first sneak peek trailer for “Havoc”. The teaser serves as a refresher of Gareth Evans’ exceptional talent in crafting intense action scenes. In case you’ve forgotten, Gareth Evans is renowned for directing “The Raid“, a film often praised as one of the finest action movies of the 21st century (and even all time). You can catch the Havoc teaser at the top of this page!
In the movie “Havoc“, Tom Hardy portrays detective Walker, a professional who has accumulated numerous adversaries throughout his line of work. Eventually, he finds himself in a situation where he must confront every menacing gang in the city, regardless of their alignment with law enforcement or criminal activities. As a result, he is compelled to navigate through the turmoil and engage in numerous battles.
Apart from Hardy, the stellar cast of Havoc features Jessie Mei Li, Justin Cornwell, Quelin Sepulveda, Luis Guzmán, Michelle Waterson, Sunny Pang, Jim Caesar, Xelia Mendes-Jones alongside Yeo Yann Yann, Timothy Olyphant, and Forest Whitaker. Not only did Evans write and direct the film, but he also took on roles as Havoc’s action editor and producer.
In collaboration with Ed Talfan and Aram Tertzakian, Hardy and another individual named Evans were involved in making the film. The role of the director of photography was handled by Matt Flannery, while Aria Prayogi contributed the music.
Below, you can check out Netflix’s official synopsis for Havoc:

In an attempt to save the politician’s estranged son, whose connection to the drug deal begins to uncover a tangled web of corruption and conspiracy, I am compelled to face the ghosts of my past.
